„PlusMinus“ is a digital bitcrush, distortion, filter and gate effect, on which I have worked, designed and soldered the last months.
In this recordings I use my first built unit.
Besides faders the „Plus Minus“ has four touchpads that allow to interact with skin contact and directly manipulate the sound.
Main goal in the development was to find the balance between raw glitch mayhem and smooth gritty beauty.
The development of the „PlusMinus“ instrument was supported by „Die Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien (BKM)“, „Neustart Kultur“, „Deutscher Künstlerbund“.
